With the R7150 series, SHIMANO is also giving the 105 groupset its 12th gear as well as integration into the electronic Di2 system – raising its best-selling road bike groupset to the next level for its 40th anniversary. Electronic shifting thus finally reaches the masses, as do the advantages of the wide 12-speed cassette.

Tackle even the steepest climbs thanks to the increased gear range: In combination with a matching SHIMANO 12-speed road cassette with up to 36 teeth, the RD-R7150 rear derailleur as master unit allows you to master even the most difficult mountain stages. Reliable and crisp gear shifts are ensured by the current generation Di2 technology, which together with a compatible brake/shift lever transmits the shifting commands wirelessly to the rear derailleur. Cables are thus only needed for the connection to the battery, which can be charged directly on the rear derailleur via a charging port. However, those who prefer wired connections can continue to connect the components with cables as known from the previous generation.

Experience the ease of electronic shifting, without lever forces or mechanical sources of error. A light click is all it takes for the electronic servomotor to start moving with absolute precision. Shifter assignments can be customised and rear and front derailleur can be synchronised in different modes. Define the gears at which the front derailleur automatically shifts, or let the rear derailleur make compensating shifts as soon as you operate the front derailleur. Thanks to integrated Blutetooth and ANT+ connectivity, you can easily make all settings with your smartphone and the SHIMANO E-Tube app. Or you can quickly change modes at the touch of a button on the rear derailleur, where you can also read the battery status.
