In order to use the Twist Stem or other Ahead stems in combination with threaded forks, you can simply replace your classic quill stem with the by.Schulz Ahead Stem adapter for quill stems. The robust aluminium handlebar tube virtually represents a threadless steerer tube extension where you can mount compatible components on.

Thanks to high stability, the adapter can be mounted on hybrids, city bikes or e-bikes and is even adjustable in height without spacers.

Version 1″ (as shown): For threaded forks with an outer diameter of 25.4 mm and an inner diameter of 22.2 mm (the shaft of the quill stem has an outer Ø of 22.2 mm)

Version 1 1/8″: For threaded forks with an outer diameter of 28.6 mm and an inner diameter of 25.4 mm (the shaft of the quill stem has an outer Ø of 25.4 mm)
