The Big Bore Hybrid tubeless valve by Muc-Off promises up to 254 per cent more air flow compared to a traditional Presta valve.

This is made possible by an integrated ball valve, which is opened and closed via a small lever for inflation or deflation. When open, the entire diameter of the valve stem can be used, allowing the air from the pump or tubeless booster to flow easily into the tyre. No valve core interferes with the air flow. This makes initial fitting easier and allows for filling in sealant.

The high air flow is also achieved by the clever hybrid design of the Big Bore: The lower part has the diameter of a Presta valve and therefore fits in all rims with a 6.5 mm valve hole. The upper part, on which the pump head is fitted, corresponds to that of a Schrader valve. This combination maximises air flow and also enables high rim compatibility.
