The Mallet DH by Crankbrothers’ has established itself among DH pros for years for good reasons. As a proven classic among MTB pedals, the optimally adjustable combination of clipless/platform pedal is usually part of the standard equipment for downhill races. The design and construction is very similar to the Mallet E, however, the pedal body of the Mallet DH is somewhat more massive with a larger contact surface. The contact feels like a flat pedal and thus provides a lot of security for full control over your bike. The clipless pedal impresses with high flexibility and many adjustment options for optimal adaptation to the shoe. Crankbrothers’ special spring system not only impresses with good self-cleaning properties, but also offers a lot of freedom of movement on downhill trails and in technically demanding terrain. The height of the platform can be optimally adjusted with replaceable traction pads in 1 and 2 mm as well as spacers under the cleats. The fine-tuning can be done with height-adjustable pins to ensure the perfect mix of grip and mobility. Correctly adjusted, the foot sits perfectly on the concave pedal cage, but can still be turned inwards without clipping out. The excellent material composition and solid construction of the Mallet DH speak for themselves and promise high durability.
