There’s a reason why you will often find the Mallet E MTB clipless pedal by Crankbrothers on the bikes of pros in DH and Enduro races. At first sight, the only difference between the Mallet E and a modern platform pedal without clip mechanism is its height. But this is precisely what makes the Mallet E an excellent clipless enduro pedal with high flexibility and many adjustment options for optimal adaptation to the shoe. Crankbrothers’ spring system not only impresses with good self-cleaning properties, but also offers a lot of freedom of movement when riding uphill or in technical terrain. The height of the platform can be optimally adjusted with replaceable traction pads in 1 and 2 mm as well as spacers under the cleats. The fine-tuning can be done with height-adjustable pins to ensure the perfect mix of grip and mobility. Correctly adjusted, the foot sits perfectly on the concave pedal cage, but can still be turned inwards without clipping out. The excellent material composition and solid construction of the Mallet E speak for themselves and promise high durability.
