Modern mountain bikes have set new standards, pushing the requirements for braking power further than ever before.
The Maven is SRAM’s answer to this development. With monstrous 18 and 19.5 millimetre pistons in combination with a low-maintenance mineral oil system, this 4-piston disc brake develops up to 50% more braking power than the proven downhill stopper Code!
 
However, the best braking power means nothing unless you can modulate it precisely. To achieve this, SRAM relies on the tried and tested SwingLink™ technology, which generates progressive power transfer over the entire lever travel and thus generates the typical SRAM braking feel.
 
The solid two-piece brake calliper is connected with 4 (!) bolts and thus achieves outstanding rigidity. At the same time, its design dissipates a large amount of heat so that braking performance remains constant at all times and even the last corner feels like the first.
With so much braking power, there are more options than ever before at SRAM to tune braking performance exactly how you want it across different pad materials and brake disc sizes.
 
SRAM’s Maven Silver features a black anodised finish and stainless steel hardware. It also comes with tool-free reach and contact point adjustment, making it easy to adapt it to your personal preferences.
