Latex tubes are more lightweight and supple than inner tubes made from butyl and therefore create less friction inside the tyre casing. These characteristic properties result in optimised rolling resistance and improved riding behaviour when cornering. Road cyclists particularly appreciate the riding dynamics of latex tubes. What’s more, the elasticity of the latex material leads to a higher puncture protection than butyl tubes have.
