The engineers at SRAM have never rested on their laurels! And when they found a way to make their lightest and stiffest crankset yet even lighter, they didn’t hesitate for long!
With the current RED 2 x 12-speed crank, SRAM has introduced an optimised layup for the elegant carbon crank arms. Compared to the previous version, up to 29 grams could be saved (depending on crank arm length and chainring gear ratio!). However, you don’t have to fear any loss of durability or torsional rigidity.
As before, all RED double cranks feature a constant chainring spacing of 13 teeth, which results in smoother and faster shifting and always provides the perfect gear ratio in combination with the 12-speed cassette at the rear.
Specially developed for electronic shifting of SRAM’s AXS™ groupsets, the RED crankset not only impresses with noble materials, but also with the possibility to upgrade it with a strong power meter whenever you want.
Details:
- Hollow carbon crank arms for high stiffness and low weight
- Up to 29 g lighter than the previous version (depending on crank arm length and chainring gear ratio!)
- Improved shifting performance for fast and precise gear shifts
- Special one-piece DirectMount chainring design for a lighter, stiffer and more durable crankset
- DUB™ technology: 28.99 mm axle Ø for improved protection against dirt and full compatibility with all common BB standards
- Allows for subsequent upgrade with power meter
