Cooling and comfort – that’s what the Respiro Athletic unisex saddle from Selle Royal promises, even on extended bike tours. With its well thought-out relief and ventilation channel, it directs the airflow specifically to where heat build-up and perspiration would otherwise spoil the ride. This provides twice the relief for the perineal area: A deep cut-out prevents pressure and allows body heat to escape through the mesh structure. To make sure the Respiro does not heat up in the sun, the saddle cover is also made from a thermoregulating Microtex material that reflects sun rays and is thus said to stay up to 25 degrees cooler than conventional fabrics. The tried and tested Royalgel™ padding increases riding quality even during intensive use.

As far as the intended use and the riding position are concerned, the Selle Royal Respiro Athletic offers the sportiest seat profile and the most direct power transfer of all Respiro models. This means that it is optimised for an active riding position of about 45 degrees, as typically found on sporty hybrid bikes or e-bikes. The Respiro Athletic is therefore the optimal companion for active cyclists who also want a little extra comfort for longer tours.

Saddles padded with Royalgel impress with their high seating comfort even on longer tours. The gel pad absorbs pressure, distributes it over the saddle surface and thus provides the right support.

ROYAL VACUUM:
Selle Royal’s Royal Vacuum technology ensures that the saddle is 100% sealed and waterproof, even when exposed to heavy rain and extreme weather. This stops moisture from seeping into the precious Royal Gel.

COOL COVER:
The saddle’s special cover reflects the sunlight so that the saddle stays up to 25 °C cooler than conventional black saddles. This means your bike can stay outside even on hot summer days.

VENTILATION CHANNEL:
The ventilation channel allows the air to enter below the saddle nose and then flow through your saddle via an anatomically designed cut-out. Designed for a comfortable, cool ride and reduced pressure in the perineal area.
