Rohloff also offers splined sprockets in addition to thread-on sprockets. These new sprockets are fixed on a plug pinion adapter (Splined-Carrier) that comes with a lock ring.
Sprockets can now also be fitted/removed without a sprocket removal tool. All Rohloff hubs are compatible with this plug pinion adapter. Moreover, it allows you to increase the number of teeth to 21.
