Shimano’s chain wear indicator allows for precise chain measurement. The advantage of the TL-CN24 lies in its special design. In contrast to other models, this gauge doesn’t measure the chain length by using the distance between pin and roller but by pushing both rollers in the same direction during measurement.
This simulates the actual movement of the chain, which allows for more precise measurements.
