Shortening the steerer tube or seat post can be quick, precise, and practically effortless with the Knipex TubiX® tube cutter. Perfectly positioned on the tube with just one hand, the rotating roller cutter quickly cuts threadless steerers with a diameter of up to 1 ¼” as well as metal tubes with a diameter of 6 – 35 mm made of steel, aluminium, copper, brass or stainless steel. This saves you from having to use a vice and saw, while also ensuring a clean, straight cut edge with exact measurements in just a few minutes.

It’s that simple: Position the opened TubiX® pipe cutter at the cut mark and push the cutting wheel firmly against the pipe using the one-handed QuickLock device and secure it in place. Rotate the tool while continuously tightening the cutting wheel using the ergonomic turning knob. The result is a perfectly cut pipe that can be reworked with the integrated deburring tool if necessary.

Note:
When used with very soft material and sensitive surfaces, the tension of the cutting wheel should be carefully adjusted so as not to deform any material or leave running marks from the guide rollers. Can only be used to a limited extent for carbon fibre-reinforced pipes, as it may not completely cut through the fibres.
