Highlights & Technologies:

VARIOFLEX:
VARIOFLEX is a lens technology in which the lenses automatically adjust to the weather conditions. The self-tinting (photochromic) lenses react either to UV light (for glasses with protection level cat. 1-2; cat. 2-3; cat. 1-3) or to visible light (cat. 1-4). When exposed to UV light radiation, chemical elements inside the lens open up and produce a generous darkening effect. When the light intensity decreases, the chemical elements close and the lenses become brighter again. This process happens in a matter of seconds.

HYDROPHOBIC LENS:
The moisture-repellent nanostructure of the lens or lenses lets water and dirt simply roll off.

DECENTERED LENSES:
The decentred lenses make sure there are no distortions in the field of vision. ALPINA’s high-quality decentred lenses offer excellent vision without distortions.

OPTIMIZED AIRFLOW:
A heavily curved lens and indirect air flow prevent fogging of the lenses.

ADJUSTABLE INCLINATION:
Thanks to the adjustable temples, the glasses can be tilted towards the forehead. This reduces draft when riding downhill.

ADAPTABLE NOSEPAD:
Rubber-coated nose pads, which are formable when cold, too, and provide a slip-resistant, comfortable fit.

FOGSTOP:
A coating applied to the inside of the lenses. It has a rough surface to make it impossible for moisture droplets to form a covering layer. Moisture can thus condense faster, which prevents the glasses from fogging up.
