With the ergotec Up and Down post you will enjoy the advantages and comfort of a dropper seat post without worrying about fiddly cable fitting. The air cartridge that is responsible for the lift mechanism is directly actuated by a lever on the dropper post.

Since there are no cables, fitting the post is as easy as with a conventional seatpost. Yet, the Up and Down has so much more to offer: Press hard on the pedals with the post fully extended and enjoy maximum freedom of movement while descending. Change your riding position within seconds without stopping mid-ride to use the quick release. All you need to do is actuate the lever below the saddle.

It goes without saying that ergotec’s Up and Down is classified within the highest level 6 of ergotec’s proprietary safety rating, so that it is intended for tough conditions in mountain biking. Yet, the low-priced dropper post also cuts a fine figure on modern gravel or cross bikes, allowing the rider to get the saddle out of the way in technically challenging situations. In addition, the post is available in a slim version for 27.2 mm seat tubes.
