SHIMANO brings 12 speed compatibility to Deore XT level and equips the XT FH-M8110-B BOOST rear hub for disc brakes with the special MICRO SPLINE freehub body. This allows you to fit SHIMANO 12-speed cassettes that offer an enormous gear range when used with a small 10-tooth sprocket.
Instead of classic pawls, SHIMANO uses a robust star ratchet hub as freehub technology. This freehub impresses with 7° engagement. This means less free travel and more direct power transfer.
