A low weight, combined with the best materials and high braking performance make the uncompromising XTR BR-M9200 disc brake from SHIMANO an excellent choice for cross-country races.

In this version, the Japanese premium brake comes with a 2-piston brake calliper and a reduced brake unit on the handlebar. No unnecessary frills… but an ergonomic carbon brake lever for maximum weight reduction.
The lever width can be easily adjusted using a hex wrench.

Thanks to the angled I-SPEC EV clamp, the end of the hydraulic reservoir rests directly on the handlebar. The additional support in the direction of lever swing increases stiffness and stability when braking aggressively and thus provides improved brake feel and control on the trail. The hydraulic system is filled with SHIMANO LOW VISCOSITY mineral oil, which has a significantly lower viscosity compared to SHIMANO standard mineral oil. This enables faster and more precise transmission of the brake pressure as well as consistent braking behaviour in different conditions and temperatures.

The J-Kit comes pre-filled and, thanks to the pre-installed olive, allows for easy cutting of the cables as well as cable routing inside the frame, too. Additional bleeding is therefore generally unnecessary.
